Do you provide temperature controlled spaces?
Two of California Self Storage Centers’ facilities, Gold River (Gold River/Rancho Cordova) and Blue Oaks Self Storage (Roseville), offer spaces that are temperature controlled for your comfort and to protect your personal or business items from widely varying temperatures. The temperature in these spaces is kept between 68-78 degrees year-round. Gold River and Blue Oaks Self Storage do not control for varying amounts of humidity nor do we protect against mold. We do not have redundant backup systems, however, we are fully insulated to help maintain temperatures during blackouts. We also are contracted with an HVAC company for 24-hour on-call service.
Why choose temperature controlled storage?
Antiques and furniture are best stored in temperature controlled spaces to protect them from temperature extremes. By maintaining temperature within 68-78 degrees, year round, it helps to protect valuables from degradation. The air system is centrally controlled in these spaces. The spaces remain warm during the winter and cool in summer. This type of storage protects such items as: important papers, computer equipment, electronics, photographs, and books that can only retain their original quality if protected properly. Wood and leather furniture is especially susceptible to damage from temperature extremes. Storing this type of furniture in temperature control is the best idea. If you live in a geographical area which has extreme weather conditions, such as Sacramento’s hot summers, you might want to consider temperature controlled storage. This type of storage is also especially suited to the needs of particular types of business storage, including cosmetics, computer storage, and pharmaceutical supplies.
Are your spaces secure?
At Gold River Self Storage, we take a multi-pronged approach to helping you keep your possessions secure. First, we have 24-hour camera surveillance that monitors the whole property. Second, all of our spaces are individually alarmed and each customer has their own gate access code which they use to enter and exit the facility. Third, all of our managers are trained to make regular security rounds and lock checks.
Fourth, the perimeter of our facility is fully enclosed
and monitored 24 hours a day. Last, our gate computers allow us to record what spaces are being utilized at any given time. To give yourself additional peace-of-mind, make a point of visiting your space occasionally. The rental agreement stipulates that the customer retains responsibility for insuring goods stored.
What are your office hours and how do they differ from gate access hours?
At all of our facilities, office hours are Mon.-Sat. 9am to 5pm, and Sundays 9am to 4pm. These are the hours a manager is available to customers in the office or on the yard. For your convenience and easy access, all of our facilities offer extended gate access hours 6am to 9pm
year-round, including holidays. Special arrangements can be made with the managers for 24-hour access for business customers.
Do you offer month-to-month rates? How long am I committed to staying?
Yes. All of our locations offer convenient month to month rates. You can stay as long as you want, but your rental agreement is on a month-to-month basis. We request a 30-day move-out notice for return of your security deposit (if applicable). Visit

Do you have packing and moving supplies available for sale?
Yes. We offer padlocks, disc locks, boxes, packing tape, moving paper, and other moving supplies. Call the office for prices and availability.
Do you offer truck rentals?
For your convenience, we do have a dolly and cart available for your use while you are here. If you do need a rental truck, our managers can recommend local businesses offering those services for hire.
Can I change the size of my space?
Yes. Changing space size is easy. Call the manager to see if a larger or smaller space is available.

What information do we collect? How do we use it?
When you reserve a space, we need to know your name, telephone number, e-mail address, mailing address and dates of requested service. This allows us to try and expeditiously meet your needs.
What about website security?
This website has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. Any personal information is maintained within a secure Windows NT Server environment.
Will the information collected by the website be disclosed to outside parties?
No. By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of this information by California Self Storage Centers and Gold River Self Storage and we do not
